A new year means new opportunities await your business. There will be new trends to follow, and new marketing strategies you can explore to attract new customers. While some of these things are in flux, one thing remains constant, and that’s the Readers Choice Awards.
Celebrating its 22nd year, the 2017 Readers Choice Awards will continue the tradition of celebrating community businesses in eastern Massachusetts, by letting the customers vote for their favorite local business. Each year hundreds of thousands of votes are cast and businesses have a chance to ask their community to show their support by casting their votes.
This year, voting begins on January 16, 2017 and will end on February 6, 2017. You’ll be able to vote by using the ballot found in your local community newspaper or by visiting wickedlocalfavorites.com on January 16th. We offer advertising opportunities in both print and online can help your business attract the attention of voters before they select their favorite store, restaurant, or professional service. The winners will be published in late June.
During the next six weeks start promoting the Readers Choice Awards to your customers. If they are unaware of the Readers Choice Awards, educate them about what they are and how they can vote. If you’ve won certificates in the past display them prominently in your store. Write a call-to-action email once the voting begins to persuade your customers to vote for you. While voting is open, use social media to direct customers to the online ballot to cast their vote for you.
Building relationships with customers throughout the year should always be your primary goal, but the Readers Choice Awards gives you the opportunity to ask those customers to voice their admiration for your business. Not only is it good for the morale of your staff, but it also helps show that your brand is respected and trusted in the community.
Get your team and your customers excited about the 2017 Readers Choice Awards, and start planning your winning strategy today!
