Keys to a Strong Finish in Readers Choice Voting | Wicked Local Media Solutions

Voting for the 2018 Readers Choice Awards ends on Monday, February 19th at 11:59 p.m. In this last week, your business needs to be savvy and relentless in your efforts to secure an award. Hopefully, many of your customers have already voted for your business, so now you should focus on connecting with customers who may not have voted. Here are a couple of strategies to help you finish strong and get as many votes as possible in the final week.

Email Marketing

Send out an email message to your customers reminding them that the last day to vote for the Readers Choice Awards is Monday, the 19th. Include this link to the digital ballot and ask them to forward to their friends. Offer a special coupon in your reminder email and promise to offer a more substantial promotion in June if your business is a Readers Choice Award winner.

Social Media

Your social media strategy should be two-pronged. First, you should share posts with consumers reminding them to vote and include a link to the ballot. Ask them to share the post with friends and offer a promotion or reward if they can accumulate a certain number of post shares. The second social strategy is to advertise on Facebook. Promote your Readers Choice message to reach consumers that fit a demographic group similar to that of your customers, and target it to a specific geographic region. This will help you to each any consumers you may have missed.

The Readers Choice Awards are an excellent way for you to connect with consumers. Reaching out to customers during the last days of voting shows that you are engaging and looking to them for the final push you need to be a winner this year. Their support for your business helps build brand recognition. Take this last week and encourage as many people as possible to vote for your business so that you can celebrate being a Readers Choice Award winner this summer.

Share the Readers Choice Ballot with Your Customers!
