It’s been nearly two months since the Wicked Local Readers Choice Awards were announced and hopefully your business is still inspired by that achievement. Of all the businesses in your community, your customers chose yours as one of the best in the area. You have been successful in not only sharing an engaging marketing message, but also by providing your consumers with a product or service that can’t be beat. As the year goes on, and the initial news begins to fade, remind them of your excellent record of service.
In June, the winners were announced and celebrated in print and online. Some of that initial excitement may have diminished, but that doesn’t mean that you aren’t still a 2016 Readers Choice Award Winner and should continue to celebrate. There are steps you can take to continue to bolster your customer’s awareness of your business’s recognition.
Your Wicked Local Readers Choice Award logo should be a part of all of your advertising in 2016. It should be included in your digital and print ads and should be visible in your social media feeds. Create images that include the logo, so anytime someone sees an image or ad, they are reminded that your business is a favorite in the community.
On your website, you can have a section for testimonials and customer feedback. Among the inclusion of quotes and video messages from customers, this would be a great place to include that you are a winner of the Readers Choice Award. Include the dates you have won the award and link to your business on the Wicked Local Favorites website. In your email newsletters to customers, or during email marketing campaigns, include your Readers Choice Award logo at the bottom of the email. Let your digital audience know that you are a preferred business.
Inside your business, try to find as many ways as possible to show the physical Readers Choice Award. Display the certificate on the walls or in the windows. Have your the receipts and other printed material include your Readers Choice Award announcement. If you create customized bags for your business, include the logo there as well. You want customers to leave your business knowing that they are in your capable hands.
Don’t let your Readers Choice Award become a memory. The headlines may have faded, but that means your business needs to become more vocal in sharing your accomplishments. Don’t be humble. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to run a successful and appreciated community business. Remind people that you are their choice, and you want to show them why they made the right choice.
