A customer testimonial can be a key asset in building a marketing campaign that will help you build relationships with potential consumers. On Monday, January 11, 2016, voting will begin for the the 21st Annual Wicked Local Readers Choice Awards. The awards are an opportunity to show your community that your business is considered one of the best in the area, and allows your biggest fans to show their support. You can encourage voters to complete a ballot online or in participating print publications. Throughout the spring, we tally the votes and in June, the winners are announced.

Over the next few weeks, promote to your customers about how they can vote for the Readers Choice Awards and let them know what their vote means for your business. Have the ballots from your local newspaper available at the front of your store and share links to the ballot website that encourage consumers to vote for your business. Last year, over 450,000 votes were cast by customers who took the time to help vote and promote their favorite businesses. If your customers don’t know that voting is taking place, they won’t be able to show their support.
