Everyone needs a good pair of shoes. If you bought shoes in the early 1900s, there’s a chance you bought a pair from the Brett Shoe Company in Hudson, Massachusetts. While many shoes today are mass produced by machines, in the early 20th century they were handcrafted by thousands of workers across the state, like the men and women in the picture below.
