This weekend, the Hudson-Concord Elks Lodge invites everyone to the Hudson-Concord Elks Pavilion on Saturday to enjoy the annual Balloon and Blues Festival. Hot air balloons have been flying above the Assabet River almost every year for the last ten years. Wicked Local captured this photo from the 2006 event.
It sounds like it’s going to be a great time. Guests will be able to walk inside of balloons and talk to the pilots. There will be live music, food, and live entertainment. If you’re looking for a day trip, this sounds like a spectacular one to take. After all, how often do you get to be up and close and personal with a hot air balloon?
Does your town have an annual festival like this? Let us know about it and there could be a Throwback Thursday post featuring your town and event!
