From time to time, we like to share a “Main Street” image from the past to honor and celebrate how important local businesses are to each one of our communities. Today’s “Your Main Street” photo is of Plymouth, Massachusetts.
This picture shows what Plymouth looked like at the beginning of the 20th century. You can see shoppers traveled through town using cars, trolleys, and horse drawn carriages.
We were able to find the exact location on Google maps. Some of the buildings have changed and there are no horses around, but Main Street is still a bustling center of commerce for America’s Hometown.
Do you have any pictures of Main Street from the 50’s or 60’s? How much has the street changed since the early 1900’s? Tag your image with #YourMainStreet so we can take a look and share it.
