Throwback Thursday: Quincy Tire Shop in the 1900s

Finding a tire store these days isn’t difficult, but I’m willing to bet, in the early 1900s, this store in Quincy was one of a kind.

On the corner of Schools Street and Block Hancock, this huge storefront could not be ignored. It’s also slightly comical to see horse and buggy carriages in front of a tire store. Perhaps, the drivers of those carts were the first to see that change was on the horizon.
