Throwback Thursday: The Old Wicked Local

Posted by Nick Pizzolato on Thu, Jul 28, 2016 @ 12:58 PM

In 2006, Memorial Press Group (MPG), a local newspaper chain, launched the first website for the town of Plymouth. Until that time, a few stories from the local paper, The Old Colony Memorial, were shared each week on the Patriot Ledger’s site; but finally the citizens of Plymouth had a destination where they could go and read their newspaper digitally. Videos, message boards, photo galleries, and community interaction helped make Wicked Local Plymouth a destination. A year later, MPG merged with Community Newspaper Company to form Gatehouse Media New England, and Wicked Local became the brand for all of the weekly newspapers. This is what our Wicked Local sites looked like in 2010.
